On Wednesday, the Nation recorded 8,8322 new Covid cases with a 38.43% rise in daily cases. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) reported that 11 people have died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours with Maharashtra alone recording 4,024 cases.

The Covid positivity rate has jumped to 2.35% from 2% with the weekly positivity rate reported as 2.38%. The country has 58,215 active cases out of which 7,624 patients have recuperated in the last 24 hours. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 5.19 lakh Covid tests were conducted across the nation with the Heath Ministry bulletin showing 15.21 lakh vaccine doses administered to the eligible population in the last 24 hours.
